I hope you had a great holiday season and are feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the new year ahead.

As we have begun a new calendar year, it's important to reflect on your yearly plan and make sure it's (i.e. you 😉) on track. If you haven't yet completed your yearly plan, now is the time to do so. Remember that breaking it down into quarters will make it both more manageable and achievable.

To help you get started, we are excited to announce that we have launched a new feature on our Sukuma website, www.sukuma.biz, where you can self-register (for free) and create your own 90-day plan for this quarter.

Creating your 90-day plan is an important step, but it's not the only thing you need to do in order to create momentum. Effective implementation is the key to achieving your goals.

This is why we recommend having a visible ScoreBoard.

A visible Scoreboard that shows what needs to be done and by when. This will help keep everyone in the company (especially you) accountable and on track.

Another important aspect of effective implementation is the weekly huddle meeting.

This is where each person spells out what they committed to last week, how they did, and what they are committing to this week.

Sounds simple? It is, but few businesses actually do this. In the best-case scenario, huddle meetings discuss operational issues. Very seldom does a company track progress and commit to working on the important, non-urgent matters, and these are the ones that really move the business forward.

The weekly, commitment meetings help keep everyone on the same page and ensure that everyone is working towards the same overall company goal.
